YUNG SUK KIM'S JOURNEY

Hermeneutics of Cross-Culture

Growing up in Korea, having worked with many people as a businessman in Panama and throughout the Latin American countries, I feel a sense of calling that I proceed to a "theology" (or "hermeneutics") of cross-culture - a field that needs an exploration in a meaningful way. The central questions are, What does it mean to live in this world in relation to each other (cross-culturally), and how can we do theology in our thoughts, deeds and action, moving away from individualism? How can we read biblical stories cross-culturally? What are some viable definitions of cross-cultural hermeneutics, if any, by which we can live. I hope that this web presence will help us understand each other better in the mode of learning together, learning from others, challenging each other, affirming who we are while journeying together, and working for common humanity. This site will never be complete but continues to be developed!!! This site is an expression of an unceasing dream for which I longed for a long time. Still, I dream it, say it, and live with it.
